Punch:

Simple, robust; Great for short, custom jobs. Punch about 240 boxes/hour (that's 4 boxes/minute, with 2 handholds per box, medium-sized box)

Operators:

Skilled operator not required;
(Just place and punch)

Installation:

Simple!  The EZB Model CP1 Punch can be uncrated and setup by one person in just a couple of hours

 Corrugated Punch:

Punches are not proprietary, and can be made to your specification by EZ Box or any local die shop. EZ Box will provide specifications for manufacturing your own punch and die upon request. Replacing or changing the male punch and female die takes about 10 minutes (see next)

Male punch -
Changing:

Remove guard
Remove 2 bolts
Male punch slides out
Slide new male punch in
Tighten 2 bolts
Time: about 5 minutes

Female die -
Changing:

Remove front table insert (lifts out)
Unbolt die (2 bolts)
Remove female die 
Insert new female die
Line up female die and male punch
Tighten 2 bolts
Replace front table insert 
Time: about 5 minutes

Warranty:

1 year on all parts

Consumables:

The male punch is made from standard steel rule die (used in die cut machines.)  Longevity would depend upon material, but should last for thousands of impressions before needing sharpened or replaced. 

Maintenance:

Minor. 
Maintenance is limited to keeping the tables clear of debris, and occasionally (annually) lubricating moving parts

Spare parts:

Not required.  We don’t advise that you stock any spare parts – chances are they will never be needed!  And if they are, we stock spares in the USA for overnight delivery.  An additional stock of selected parts is maintained in Germany for European installations.

Options:

Pneumatically actuated (Operator presses on a foot valve to actuate the punch.  This allows the operator to keep both hands on the material, permitting him to place and remove blanks more quickly.)
