About EZ Box Machinery Co., Inc. 1 January 2006 >Home EZ Box Machinery Co., Inc. was formed as Dunn & Associates in 1991 to manufacture and market automated boxmakers and associated equipment. The name changed in 1997 to EZ Box Machinery Co., Inc., to more accurately reflect the nature of the business. EZ Box equipment is designed to produce short runs of corrugated boxes economically. The equipment benefits two types of companies - those that ship custom products of different sizes, or whose product varies in size and quantity, and those who manufacture boxes for reselling. The company offers EZ Boxmaker Models 870, 872, and 970 series to address a wide range of boxmaking needs. EZ Box also offers EZ Slitter Models 270/280 and 272/282 for slitting and scoring boxboard sheets. EZ Box Machinery has equipment installed and operating in the US and in 15 foreign countries, and all continents. The very first boxmaker, shipped in 1992, is still in daily operation in Birmingham, Alabama USA. EZ Box Machinery operates a manufacturing and assembly facility in Charlotte, NC, USA. Most of the parts are manufactured here, and all machines are assembled at this location. Dedicated to producing a robust and competitively priced quality product, EZ Box Machinery’s goal is to meet the short-run box making needs of shippers and converters worldwide. 
Principals: M. B. “Pinky” Dunn, President, inventor, designer, and entrepreneur, has worked in the packaging industry since 1949. He organized and was principal of two successful packaging machinery corporations, MEMCO and MasterCraft International, both in Charlotte NC, both employing approximately 50 people. In 1991, Mr. Dunn saw industry’s need for a low cost, capable, robust, and reliable short-run boxmaker. He designed the original EZ Boxmaker, and sold the first machine in 1992. Pinky earned a bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering at NC State University in 1947. 
Andrew "Andy" Dunn (Pinky's son), Vice President, joined the company in 1996 after a 20 year career as a pilot in the US Air Force. Andy earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the USAF Academy in 1976. If you call, you might also speak to Johnnie Quinn in sales. |
